THE CROWN OF BELIEVERS 2 Timothy 4:8 – “Now there is in store for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to me on that day—and not only to me, but also to all who have longed for his appearing.” As a Christian, our life is a race; our life is warfare. It is a good fight, a good warfare. The victory is assured if we continue faithful and courageous. The crown of the believers is the crown of righteousness purchased by the righteousness in Christ Jesus. Believers have it, not at present, yet it is sure. They have it, not in possession and yet it is sure – for it is laid up for them. Therefore, by faith you can boldly confess, “The crown of life is as sure to me as if it were already upon my head”. Remember, Apostle Paul did the work of his day and generation. As a Christian, you too must do the work of your day and generation by running the straight race through God’s good grace. PRAYER: Lord, Jesus Christ, strengthen me to run the straight race through Your good grace.
