NOT MINE BUT GOD’S OWN
Isaiah 43:1
“But now, thus says the Lord, your Creator, O Jacob,
And He who formed you, O Israel,
“Do not fear, for I have redeemed you;
I have called you by name; you are Mine!”
What does it mean to belong to God? Once Christ purchases us, we become aliens here on earth and there is a barrier between us and everything here on earth. This barrier is not a physical one but a still small voice in your heart directing you, guiding you. This is the voice of your conscience. We don’t measure our life by our situation but by the movement of our heart. What is your heart choosing right now?
In every situation, in every moment, a Christian must choose to do what is right even though it is contrary to what he naturally wants to do. When you belong to Jesus, you would not say what He would not want to hear, you would not go where He would not be welcomed. Are you going where love, obedience and humility would be welcomed because you are not yours but God’s own?
PRAYER: Help me oh Lord to turn away from that which has the power to turn me away from You, in Jesus’ name!
