AGAINST COMMON SENSE One would think that in warfare, the numerous and powerful army should always be victorious but many come home defeated, demoralized and paralyzed. One would think that men who are masters in the art of management should always be men of substance but many a good man spends their days unnoticed, uncelebrated and in obscurity. God’s wisdom seems to work against common sense. As Isaiah 55:9 says, “For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are My ways higher than your ways, And My thoughts than your thoughts”. We were born for God’s divine purpose and way to be made manifest in our lives, but the way and manner that plan is executed differs so, don’t let your situation mislead you, rather let these words of Prophet T.B. Joshua encourage you, ‘It was in the midst of my situation God got me to the place He could use me’. Your situation may look contrary to God’s promise for your life but ask Joseph and he’ll tell you God sometimes uses your situation in the dry pit, Potiphar’s house or prison cell that you may gain the necessary experience and maturity to handle whatever responsibility given us, (Genesis 37-45).
